Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SafeForLLM ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

SafeForLLM provides PII (personally identifiable information) detection and redaction services. Users can submit text or documents to have PII automatically detected and replaced with anonymised tokens, and later restore the original values. The Service is offered through our website and API.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Submit content that you do not have the right to process or that infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond our published API, without prior written permission.
  • Resell, sublicence, or redistribute the Service without our express consent.

5. Plans, Billing & Payments

  • The Service offers Free and Pro plans. Feature availability and usage limits vary by plan.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no partial refunds are issued.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, and documentation, is owned by SafeForLLM and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit for redaction. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the redaction and restoration features.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.

8. Service Availability & Modifications

  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that PII detection will be 100% accurate or that the Service will meet all of your requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeForLLM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SafeForLLM and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including liability limitations and indemnification) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SafeForLLM is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
